BOHO FACTORY COMPLETES SMETA SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AUDIT

08 April 2026

BOHO Factory has successfully completed its SMETA social responsibility audit.

SMETA is one of the most widely recognized global audit methodologies, covering labor standards, health and safety, environmental performance, and business ethics.

The implementation of SMETA marks a significant step in BOHO’s efforts to enhance supply chain transparency. It also reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to improving working conditions and advancing toward sustainable development.

As the real estate and construction sectors increasingly prioritize transparency, standardized operations, and compliance across the entire supply chain, social responsibility is no longer confined to written commitments.

For companies participating in project supply chains, it is now becoming a critical component of partnership criteria and long-term sustainable growth.

This shift requires businesses to move beyond declarative statements of “human-centric values” and demonstrate them through structured assessments and verifiable practices.

BOHO’s SMETA audit focuses on two core pillars:

  • Labor Standards
BOHO is committed to maintaining a fair and compliant working environment, with wage policies, employee benefits, and working hours aligned with applicable regulations. The factory strictly adheres to labor rights principles, with zero tolerance for forced labor and child labor, and aims to foster sustainable employee engagement based on respect and equality.
  • Health & Safety
With a people-first approach to operations, BOHO consistently maintains safe working conditions, provides standard-compliant personal protective equipment (PPE), and delivers regular training programs to enhance workforce capabilities and safety awareness.

Beyond the audit scope, BOHO has long invested in improving workplace quality through operational practices that are consistently maintained over time.

To minimize airborne dust, the factory utilizes an advanced dust extraction system, collecting approximately 5–7 tons of sawdust per month, which is then repurposed as an environmentally friendly fuel source.

In parallel, BOHO leverages solar energy, contributing to an estimated reduction of up to 861 tons of greenhouse gas emissions annually. Green space covering more than one-third of the factory area further enhances a more open, comfortable, and employee-friendly working environment.
